The International Federation of Medical Students Associations was founded in May 1951 – Copenhagen, Denmark. Over time, IFMSA grew to include more and more countries & organizations, including Egypt (through IFMSA-Egypt) in 1969.

In 1974, Mansoura Students’ Scientific Society (formerly) was founded by Dr. Youssif Rezk as a local committee of IFMSA-Egypt in Mansoura Faculty of Medicine. In 1999, MSSS was restructured and renamed to Mansoura Students’ Scientific Association.

Today, MSSA-Mansoura has been empowering and representing medical students in Mansoura for more than 45 years. By capacity building, exchange opportunities and project management, MSSA has always been a “life-changing experience”.
